How is my property physically connected to your network?

How is my property physically connected to your network?

We use one of 3 methods, depending on which is most suitable for your property, to connect you to our network:

  • Overhead Connection: we will connect you with an overhead fibre cable from a pole to your property, and then run the cable down your property to a suitable entry point at ground level.
  • If you require the cable to enter your property via a loft, this will need to be agreed prior to the installation and we ask that all loft space is boarded and lit. We may ask you to assist with feeding the cable through the loft space to the floor below for health and safety reasons.
  • Underground Connection: we will connect your property from our network to your property using underground ducting. This will require digging to be completed prior to your installation appointment, which we usually book 2 days ahead of your installation date. You will be required to be present for both appointments so that we can ensure you are happy with the route and the works that are completed.
  • Using existing ducting: if your property already has underground ducting installed, we will use this to feed the fibre cable through to the existing entry point at your premises.
