How do I fix problems and optimise my Wi-Fi network?

You can fix problems and optimise your Wi-Fi network easily using the My CB Wi-Fi App (available free for Apple and Android devices)

At the top of the network diagram in the My CB Wi-Fi App, the current status of your network is displayed. If problems are identified, you can click on this information, which will display a list of the problems identified, making it possible to get tips and instructions on how to solve each one.

Potential problems could be:

  • Poor coverage of a device – it is checked in any device on your network, connected to Wi-Fi, which is in a poor coverage area, reducing its performance.
  • Poor performance of a device – if a device on your network does not support the latest Wi-Fi technologies it will generate this low severity problem.
  • Network interference – Wi-Fi operates under different channels and frequencies, if an interference is detected (e.g. from a neighbour’s network) the app will highlight this problem and suggest possible solutions
  • Node positioning – If an Extender Node is badly positioned (too far or too close to the nearest router or another node).
  • Node Temperature – The temperature of the Extender nodes is monitored, and inform you if they are operating above the normal operating temperature.
