Why should I renew my contract and stay with County Broadband? 

In considering the ongoing provision of your broadband:  

  • County Broadband has built one of the UK’s most advanced broadband networks, which provides speeds of up to 900Mps for both uploads and downloads, which can be 25 times faster than the speed of the old copper-based broadband network that serves many of the towns and villages in East Anglia. According to Ofcom’s most recent Connected Nations report  (Spring 2023 update), only 36% of homes in rural areas of England are connected to a full fibre network. 
  • Unlike almost all service providers, our prices are fixed throughout the term of your new contract (for 12 or 24 months), enabling our customers to budget with confidence and continuing to provide great value for money. Most providers increase their prices each year by the increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) plus an amount. You can evaluate the impact of CPI increases using the Bank of England’s CPI inflation calculator
  • Alongside our full fibre broadband service, we also offer a very cost effective and competitive home phone service, and we have recently added a “Pay as you go” option that can be added to your package, through the service portal, as well as a range of ‘inclusive’ packages starting at just £6 a month for unlimited calls to UK landlines. 
  • We continue to invest in our network to provide a highly reliable service, supporting working from home, streaming movies, TV and music, gaming, video calls, online shopping, smart home devices and everything else that uses the Internet, and have recently introduced our My CB WiFi app available for both Apple and Android devices. 
  • We have recently introduced a ‘Refer a Friend’ scheme that provides an incentive of £50 for each new customer joining County Broadband, payable to both parties.
