Power Cycling Your Fibre Router

Like with all electronic devices, it is healthy to power cycle your router every month or two.

This helps to clear out any unused data or old configurations and can help to ensure all functions of the router remain working correctly.

We always recommend a power cycle as the first action to take when you have identified an issue.

This guide will inform you on how to power cycle your router....

Power Cycling Your Fibre Router

  1. Navigate to your Fibre broadband router
  2. Remove the power cable from your router and leave this for 30 seconds
  3. Re-power the Fibre router and allow up to a further 2-3 minutes for the router to reconnect to our network
  4. While you are waiting for the above, ensure all other cables plugged into the router are not loose or unplugged
  5. If power cycling due to a broadband issue, check your broadband connection to see if this has been resolved
